Position Description
The Patient Care Tech is an unlicensed staff member who supports professional staff in providing care and service to patients and families under the direction and supervision of registered nurses and supports the plan of care for assigned patients.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization. Candidate must have one the following: Successful completion of an accredited Nursing Assistant program, Medical Assistant program, or Direct Patient Care Allied Health program; or successful completion of the Nursing Fundamentals course from an accredited registered nursing program; or, minimum of two years of related experience. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). Three 12hr PM shifts with weekend and holiday requirements.
Preferred Requirements
Vocational or technical training or degree in CNA, CMA. 3 years or more of experience in direct patient care in an acute care setting.
