Children's Home Network is Hiring a Child/Adolescent Therapist - Independent Contractor Near Largo, FL

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $120.00/Hour Registered Interns-$140.00/Hour License Clinicians- Contract

$220.00 assessment- Registered Interns- $240.00 assessment- Licensed Clinicians - Contract

Looking for Licensed or Registered Intern Clinicians. Professionals who want to make a difference helping children/youth who are having behavioral or emotion issues effecting their optimal functioning at home and/or at school. The program utilizes a short-term (12 units- 3 months) counseling model providing services via telehealth and face to face (option at this time). This is a contract position, which provides you with great flexible and earning potential with a minimum caseload of 5 children/youth.

Schedule: Monday through Sunday Flexible

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Develops and implements effective service plans designed to improve emotional problems and reduce behavioral problems. Ensures that plans developed are appropriate to the ages and populations served and includes input from the client and family.
  • Provides hands on support, training, and mentorship to families.
  • Delivers therapeutic services using a multi-model approach on an individual and family basis to include when appropriate, behavioral modification techniques. Service delivery may occur: in-home, in-school, in-office, or in the community based on family need.
  • Schedules weekly visits with assigned client/family.
  • Provides on-going assessment, evaluation, treatment, discharge planning and other services as required.
  • Completes accurate and timely clinical documentation of the highest quality and consistent with agency standards, rules and regulation. Completes required assessments, treatment plans, closing documents, and progress notes.
  • Monitors the overall course of services for the client and family consistent with service plan and revises plan as needed.
  • Communicates with System Navigators from partner agency and other providers proving services to families served.
  • Attends agency and required training as directed.
  • Attends 1x Monthly (paid $30) QA Meetings or follows up on meeting topics when absent.
  • Participate in all Continuous Quality Improvement activities as required including program assessment, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Follows all Program and JWB guidelines, standards, and procedures in regard to privacy, access, clinical care, and documentation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Two (2) years' experience providing counseling and behavior modification services to the targeted population.
  • Must be a licensed professional in the state of Florida or a Registered Intern for licensure in the state of Florida under the supervision of a Licensed Practitioner.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida driver’s license with no record of criminal driving offense of license suspension.
  • Must possess means of providing job related transportation and show proof of required insurance. Must be insurable under CHN’s current auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must successfully complete and maintain FDLE clearance, Federal background and state criminal background check and sexual predator screening.
  • Must be a licensed professional in the state of Florida or a Registered Intern for licensure in the state of Florida under the supervision or a Licensed Practitioner.

PREFERNCE:

Therapist reside in Pinellas County, Fully Licensed, After-school and weekend availability, and Bilingual (Spanish)

Annual Training Requirements: Must complete DCF HIPAA Confidentiality and Privacy Practices & Security Training.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. Ability to establish effective working relationships with families, coworkers, supervisors, and other individuals. Possess effective interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of agency’s organizational structure, standard operating procedures, and policies.
  • Knowledge of child abuse or neglect reporting procedures and methods.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic intervention and behavior management methods, strategies, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of quality documentation as required by agency standards, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to conduct assessments to plan treatment services and to provide follow-up services.
  • Ability to work as a multi-disciplinary team member in a positive productive manner.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:

  • Visual: ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, read printed materials, and make observations of physical facilities.
  • Hearing: ability to understand and comprehend spoken dialogue in individual and group settings.
  • Frequent use of hands.
  • Ability to speak clearly and effectively.
  • Reasonable accommodation will be made for otherwise qualified individuals with a disability.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

  • Works within a family’s home, in-school, in-office, or in a community setting. Must go into home at least 4 out of the 12 times in 3 months, some virtual visits provided based on family needs. 
  • Therapists will need their own laptop (not a MAC/Apple), printer/scanner, cell phone, and internet hotspot. 
  • Mileage mileage is the responsibility of the Therapist Contractor. 
  • High level of emotional discussions, requiring self-awareness and understanding of professional boundaries.
