🌟Key Responsibilities:
- Perform dental examinations and assessments on pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents.
- Diagnose and treat dental conditions, diseases, and developmental issues specific to pediatric dentistry.
- Perform restorative procedures, including fillings, crowns, and pulpotomies, on primary and permanent teeth.
- Monitor dental development and address orthodontic concerns in pediatric patients.
- Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, and preventive dental care.
- Create a positive and supportive dental experience for pediatric patients, alleviating dental anxiety and fear.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, orthodontists, and other healthcare professionals to address comprehensive healthcare needs.
- Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols specific to pediatric dentistry.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including growth and development assessments.
🌟Certifications and Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school.Valid California state dental license to practice dentistry.
- Board certification or eligibility for board certification in general dentistry.
- CPR certification.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental procedures and treatments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
