Children Family Services Center is Hiring an Ascend Nonprofit Solutions- Talent Acquisition Specialist Near Charlotte, NC

Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing full cycle recruiting activities including general human resources administration for the 14 non-profit agencies that make up Ascend Nonprofit Solutions. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will work with individual agencies to develop and expand new and existing recruitment efforts by designing and implementing customized recruitment plans. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with attention to detail, ability to effectively prioritize, multi-task and operate with a high level of flexibility and commitment. The successful candidate will emanate the values and missions of both the Ascend NPS and its constituent agencies.

Essential Functions:

  • Partner with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.
  • Inputs and manages open job requisitions and tracks candidate flow.
  • Post open positions on applicable job boards and websites.
  • Reviews resumes, screens and interviews candidates to evaluate work history, skills, education and culture fit.
  • Coordinates and schedules phone screens, on-site interviews and video conferences.
  • Initiates and reviews pre-employment screening. Performs all background checks for volunteers/interns/new hires and communicate results in a timely manner to agency representative.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all aspects of talent acquisition.
  • Serves as the liaison between candidates and hiring managers; communicating, monitoring and facilitating progress and addressing concerns or questions.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing ongoing recruiting strategies to keep up with current market trend.
  • Serves as the main point of contact for implementation of an Applicant Tracking System
  • Maintains strong, collaborative and productive relationships with hiring managers, staffing agencies and other strategic partners.
  • Onboard new employees and including providing benefits overview.
  • Assist all new hires/volunteers to complete new hire HR, payroll and agency paper work in a timely manner.
  • Assist in entering and maintaining all personnel information in HRIS and Timekeeper systems and resolve issues as they arise, as needed
  • Counsel employees on basic policy and procedure questions.
  • Partner and assist finance department with timekeeping tracking.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Chief HR Officer.

Physical Requirements Works in an office environment. Requires sitting and standing, driving automobile, operating computer and multi-line telephone, occasional lifting of documents and supplies. Responsible for working in a safe manner. May have to stand for long periods of time.

Required Travel: Minimal (10% or less)

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of demonstrated high-volume Recruiting experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Human Resources Administration experience
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems desired
  • General knowledge of HR laws and principles and procedures for personnel recruitment and selection
  • Experience with HRIS Systems
  • Must be very detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple competing priorities
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite products
  • Valid Driver's License
