Description

• Identify, define, and develop funding sources to support existing and planned program activities as well as lead the development, writing, and submission of grant proposals to federal, state, and private funding. 
• Develop grants and reporting calendar and timeline for grants and contracts. 
• Coordinate program and financial reporting to government and private funders. 
• Develop subject matter expertise on grant compliance and reporting requirements for specified projects.
• Coordinate preparation and submission of program performance and other reports required by funders.
• Network with other grant recipients and funders as appropriate to develop best models and practices for grant management.
• Work with management staff to develop efficient interagency mechanisms to support compliance, assist them with compiling and analyzing program data.
• Assist with coordination and production of performance and other reports to various funding sources or monitoring groups as requested.
• Ensure timely submission of all regular and required reports to funders. 
• Ensure compliance with agency, contract, funding, and accreditation requirements and standards.
• Establish and maintain good working relationships with agencies and the professional community.
• Maintain agency standards regarding confidentiality, quality, and productivity.
• Serve on staff committees as assigned and/or approved. 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, Fine Arts, or related field with experience developing and working with grants and contract; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven work experience as a grant writer or similar role.
• Exceptional writing, time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals.
• Strong experience with MS Office Word and Excel
• Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources
• High degree of initiative and the ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Ability to respond appropriately to the cultural differences present among the agency’s service population.
• Willing to work flexible hours and travel as necessary.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, which meets the requirements of the agency’s insurance carrier.
