Child’s View is a special community where children joyfully discover the world, its people, creatures and cultures in a nurturing Montessori environment. We help guide each developing infant, toddler, primary and elementary-aged student to reach their fullest potential by fostering practical indoor and outdoor living skills, a mathematical mind, music, art, gardening/nutrition and the self-confidence to communicate their wants and needs through both verbal and non-verbal communication.

Currently we are looking for another nurturing, and dependable individual to support all of our 7 classrooms, with a variety of substitution shifts. We have 3 locations within a 3 mile radius in SW PDX/Lake Oswego, so having reliable transportation is necessary. Qualified candidates should have experience working with children between the ages of 4 months and 6 years.

For us, someone with good communication skills, flexibility and who can work collaboratively with our other team members and respect the gifts of each young child is key; those with a growth mindset often do best! Our goal is to continue to provide a consistent environment for our youngest friends, while staff members are out sick or taking a personal days. If you have a sense of humor, positive attitude, and are available to start work soon, then this may be a perfect opportunity for you!

This is an hourly position that fluctuates between working in classrooms at 3 different locations within our school program. Starting compensation is based on experience and education in the field.
