Child Family Resources is Hiring a Bilingual Outreach Engagement Coordinator (PT) Near Phoenix, AZ

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
As an Outreach/Engagement Coordinator, staff will identify, develop, and maintain relationships in the community that will foster awareness, outreach, and recruitment of new families to the program.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Identify, contact, and meet with potential partners throughout the Northwest Maricopa region.
  • Schedule and conduct presentations regarding the PAT program to partners in the community
  • Maintain relationships with community agency and partners to share program information and learn about resources available for families (events/outreach as assigned).
  • Communicate regularly with community partners to attend and plan outreach events with the purpose of recruiting new families to the program and building awareness. This includes but is not limited to: WIC, child care centers, family resource centers, libraries, and other First Things First grantees.
  • Attend network and community meetings as assigned by Program Director. Find new opportunities in the region.
  • Keep documentation and lists of outreach and engagement events and contacts made. Keep Program Director informed of these on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues, administration, collaborative partners and others within the community.
  • Participate monthly in two hours of individual reflective supervision and at a minimum one hour of group supervision.
  • Attend and participate in all mandatory conferences, seminars, in-service training and program meetings. Adhere to program policy changes and updates as discussed during staff meetings.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement activities, as set by the program/agency.
  • Build and maintain relationships with community agency and partners to share program information and learn about resources available for families (events/outreach as assigned).
  •  Follow agency dress code and overall agency policies.
  • Organize and identify materials/supplies following program procedures. 
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and clutter-free work environment, including following fire codes.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times. 
  • Identify and develop professional goals with Program Director/Supervisor.
  •  Other duties as assigned by Program Director/Supervisor. 
REQUIREMENTS:
  •  Minimum of CDA or Associate’s Degree preferred in Social Work, Family Studies, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or related field. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
  • Two or more years of experience working with young children 0 – 5 years of age and their parents.
  • Knowledge/experience in home visitation, parenting classes, or other social work programs preferred 
  • Knowledge/experience in typical and delayed child development preferred
  • Have knowledge of community resources.
  •  Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse populations.
  •  Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with families, social service providers, collaborative partners, co-workers and Program Director/Supervisor.
  •  Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and some weekends.
  •  Ability to work effectively as part of a team. 
  •  Ability to meet all set deadlines.
  •  Ability to work with diverse populations, which include but are not limited to diverse cultural, social economic status, lifestyles. 
  •  Basic computer skills such as Word, Excel and Outlook. 
  •  Perform other duties as assigned.
  •  Willing to continue to grow professionally.
  • Location: must be able to provide direct service in the Northwest Maricopa area.
  •  Maintain a functional and safe home working space with adequate internet connection for the job.
  •  Comply with all agency and program policies and procedures including confidentiality, employee conduct, computer usage and dress code.
  •  Meet program/department’s performance and productivity standards.
  •  Attend required agency and program/department meetings. 
  • Adhere to the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor.
  •  Follow and model CFR’s core values.
  •  Participate in PQI initiatives.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid and/or ability to obtain such
  • Must be eligible and able to obtain a Level one fingerprint card.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, vehicle and meet agency liability insurance requirements.

ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  •  Sitting for extended periods of time daily; standing and walking short distances.
  •  Must be able to climb stairs and move through a facility and a home.
  •  The position includes interaction with children that could include picking up a child as heavy as 40 pounds.
  •  Moderate twisting, bending, stooping and lifting up to 40 pounds in the performance of assigned duties.
  •  Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines as referenced.
  •  Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required.
  •  Repeated hand-wrist movement required.
  •  Driving short and long distances for work purposes, to include but not limited to: home visits, events, outreach, and program meetings.
The nature of the position involves a fast paced working environment with multitasking of many different duties and tasks. General daily priorities may change at a moment’s notice and the position requires quick response time and flexibility.
