The Position:

We are seeking a full-time Bilingual Clinical Therapist for our Functional Family Therapy (FFT) Program at our Northridge site to provide intensive in-home/community-based services to high risk youth and their families.

What You’ll Do

  • Conducts intakes, provides individual, group and family therapy services in office and community and school-based settings. Service includes initial clinical assessments, diagnosis, clinical treatment planning and implementation, referral and termination.
  • Engages primary caregiver and other family members in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
  • Handles emergencies as needed, including outside of normal work hours.
  • Conducts parent education programs and family support groups.
  • Collaborates and consults with school personnel, DMH, DCFS, DPS and any other service agencies as needed.
  • Maintains clinical charts and completes program paperwork.
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours), Monday – Friday, 2 evenings per week until 8:00pm are required.
  • This position is fully onsite for the first four months. Hybrid work options are available after successful completion of four months of employment

Starting Salary:

  • A.M.F.T., A.C.S.W., and A.P.C.C. $66,000
  • L.M.F.T., L.C.S.W., and L.P.C.C. $69,000 - $71,500
  • Waivered Psychologist: $71,500
  • Licensed Psychologist: $76,000 - $85,500
  • Additional years of experience will be considered as well
  • $3,000 differential available for bilingual Spanish-English proficiency (must pass Spanish Proficiency Assessment to qualify)

Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  • Experience working with children and families
  • Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills
  • Knowledge of evidence-based child and family interventions relevant to families served in the community mental health settings
  • Ability to develop reasonable, appropriate treatment plans and clinical programs to meet the needs of the clients.
  • Ph.D., Psy.D., MSW, or MA/MS with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy or professional clinical counseling. Must be eligible to register with the Board of Psychology or Board of Behavioral Science.
