Chief Carriers is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the Chief team. This position is responsible for accounting activities including but not limited to invoicing, accounts payable, record management, general ledger entries, collections, and ordering supplies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare invoices for outside customers and ensure collection functions are being completed.
• Review and maintain carrier and customer records.
• Monitor and order office supplies.
• Backup for company payroll.
• Perform scanning, filing, and copying.
• Properly handle all information confidentially.
• Assist in monthly closings, including reconciliation of appropriate accounts.
• Participate in and support organizational projects related to finance or accounting processes.
• Communication – have good written, verbal, and listening skills.
• Be efficient and able to multi-task.
• Cooperation/Teamwork/Attitude – interact well with others and assist as necessary.
• Customer service skills in handling all incoming/outgoing calls.

Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

• College coursework in Finance, Accounting, or related degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ basic accounting functions associated with collections and invoice processing preferred.
