This position is responsible for the planning,programming,development,design and construction of ITS across the state. Principal Duties As the ITS Program Manager,you will:Lead ITS project and asset management group personnel,and Statewide lighting and ITS maintenance groups including supervising subordinate personnel including: hiring,determining workload and delegating assignments,training,monitoring and evaluating performance,and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions.Manage TMD programming for Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP).Manage ITS standards and specifications through the UDOT Standards Committee.Manage ITS/TMD Equipment Contracts and State-Furnished Materials Form for ITS.Manage ITS/TMD Support Contracts.Lead other special projects including Wrong Way Driver (WWD) Task Force,Lighting Task Force,Statewide 'LiveView' CCTV Camera Replacements Project,etc.Participate in UDOT and national committees/groups.Ideal Candidate The best candidate for this position will:Be registered as a professional engineer (PE) in Utah.Have at least four years of professional engineering experience after obtaining PE licensure.Supplemental Information Here is some additional information of which you should be aware:Requires driving of state vehicles and occasional travel statewide which may require overnight stays.Working Conditions - Risks found in the typical office setting,which is adequately lighted,heated and ventilated,e.g.,safe use of office equipment,avoiding trips and falls,observing fire regulations,etc.Physical Requirements: Typically,the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however,there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile,etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.Employee may be reassigned to a different location as deemed necessary by the Group Leader.* Why Should You Join Our Team? *The work we do matters.
