Overview

The Sr. Project Lead serves a critical function on the Marketing Investment Team, overseeing the day-to-day management of all paid national and market level media investments, with a focus on digital channels. The Sr. Project Lead supports both the national and market media operations required to facilitate the stewardship of Chick-fil-A’s domestic marketing investment.

The Sr. Project Lead works closely with our media agency to ensure our strategies are accurately implemented and our investments optimized on a continuous basis. Working cross functionally, the Sr. Project Lead ensures our investments complement and align with other enterprise work (Brand Strategy, Marketing Consulting, Performance Marketing, Customer Relations Management, Customer and Market Insights, Digital Transformation, Customer Digital Experience, Delivery, etc.).

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, high-capacity leader with strong media experience. They must have deep functional media knowledge, be a strategic thinker, demonstrate a high degree of accuracy and prioritized sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

  • Media Investment Management & OptimizationResponsible for managing the execution of all paid media investment including continuous optimization.

    • Manage the execution of paid media investment across all channels at the market and national level in partnership with our media agency
    • Support the annual market and national planning process
    • Oversee the ongoing optimization across all channels and audiences using strong analytical skills to interpret campaign performance data and develop recommendations
    • Analyze media performance and report out across multiple internal stakeholders and Agency
    • Omni channel implementation with Customer Relationship Management
    • Tent pole and brand extension implementation and reporting
    • Coordinate media execution across internal teams to maximize investment and avoid duplication of effort
    • SME resource for internal Marketing Consulting team on restaurant-level media

    Campaign Management Ensure media investments are managed in line with Chick-fil-A stewardship principles and rigor.

    • Responsible for overseeing agency’s day-to-day campaign management including optimization of media investment and troubleshooting issues
    • Manage all paid media invoices and beverage partner invoice coding
    • Serve as point person for national and market billing and invoicing needs, working in partnership with Centralized Coding and Accounting
    • Responsible for briefing media agency on campaign requirements
    • Manage pixels, links, and tracking across digital channels
    • Coordinate with internal creative team to ensure assets are trafficked properly to ensure on-time campaign launches
    • Lead the creation of after-action review and quarterly business review content

    Media MeasurementLead cross-functional work with Customer & Market Insights (CMI) to ensure all research needs are met. 

    • Work with CMI to ensure each campaign’s KPIs are measured, managed, analyzed, and reported
    • Responsible for tracking app install campaign performance and making strategic optimizations
    • Lead Learning Agenda development and implementation with Agency to ensure investments reflect latest customer and industry trends
    • Oversee data collection from Agency and reporting for Marketing Mix Model

    Data & Ad TechManage ad tech stack and data strategy that help inform overall investment strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting.

    • Ad tech strategy and evaluation in conjunction with Customer and Market Insight team to ensure our media investments are maximizing opportunities
    • Cross functional data owner for all paid media
    • Develop and manage dashboards for internal use

    National Partnerships Manage national partnership strategy and implementation.

    • Responsible for implementing our national partnership strategy and execution
    • Responsible for overseeing the planning, logistics, and execution of annual national sports activations in partnership with our sports and entertainment agency

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 6-8 years of experience in media strategy and/or media planning with a focus on digital channels
    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Strong ability to manage deadlines and quickly adapts and re-prioritizes to deliver results
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
    • Resourceful, curious, and self-motivated high-capacity strategic thinker
    • Meticulous attention to detail (e.g. data, numbers, grammar)
    • Maintains highest level of confidentiality
    • High level of proficiency in Keynote and Microsoft Office with an advanced understanding Excel
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 8 years of experience in media strategy and/or media planning with a focus on digital channels
    • Agency experience strongly preferred
