OBJECTIVE AND POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for coordinating informational workshops for English and Spanish clients in the “Knowledge is Power… Si Se Puede” project, a series of interactive workshops/events that address key and current community impact issues faced by the City of North Las Vegas residents. The specialist will develop, implement, and conduct a collaborative, concentrated market-driven multilingual outreach campaign to bring community-based service providers, community stakeholders, and other agencies to provide information to the community in areas of education, health and wellness, workforce development, technology, arts and culture, and other areas of impact that will support growth and development. The specialist will conduct surveys and collect data to document client satisfaction and record knowledge acquired.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education /Background
Bachelor’s degree in human services, education, public health, or behavioral health; and a minimum of three to five (3-5) years of recent professional work experience providing services or resources to a vulnerable population or a combination of formal education and directly related work experience may substitute for the degree.
Other requirements
Effective January 3, 2022, all CPLC Employees and all Service Providers, are required to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Newly hired employees, who are not Fully Vaccinated at the time of hire, are expected to begin a vaccination series immediately upon hire. CPLC recognizes medical and religious exemptions to the COVID-19 vaccination requirement, in accordance with applicable law and upon approval by CPLC. However, any person approved for an exemption, without exception, is subject to masking, and other requirements established by CPLC from time to time.
