We are seeking Full-time and PRN Occupational Therapy Assistants in the St. Charles/Elgin area to join our therapy team.
Occupational Therapy Assistant Reports To
The Occupational Therapy Assistant will report to the Therapy Program Manager.
Job Overview
Assists in providing rehabilitative services to persons with mental, physical, emotional, or developmental impairments.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Works under the direction of occupational therapists to plan, implement, or administer programs that restore or enhance performance in individuals with functional impairments.
- Monitors patients' performance in therapy activities and provides encouragement.
- Assists in instructing patients and families in home programs, basic living skills, or the care and use of adaptive equipment.
- Observes and records patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior and maintains this information in client records.
- Assists occupational therapists with implementing treatment plans.
- Reports to supervisors on patients' progress, attitudes, and behavior.
- Performs clerical duties.
- The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited therapy program
- Experience: 2 years of experience required
- Licenses/Certifications: Current Occupational Therapy Assistant state of Illinois license
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
