Chicago Commons Association is Hiring an Early Education Coordinator - External Partners Near Chicago, IL

I. Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring compliance in the area of education of Chicago Commons' delegate agencies. Provides training and technical assistance in curriculum and enhanced curricular for children zero-five. Will require some traveling to partner agencies for support.
II. Education & Certification Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field and a minimum of 3 years of direct teaching experience.
III. Experience & Training Requirements
•Must be organized and detail oriented.
•Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
•Excellent problem-solving skills.
•Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
•Must be comfortable using digital platforms to create printed materials for program use.
•Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with others.
•Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload well.
•Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
•Must be able to travel to multiple schools in diverse communities.
•Must be able to read and write English proficiently.
•Must regularly operate a word-processing system and therefore must be able to read, produce and transmit data on such a system.
IV.Desired Outcomes
•Conducts quarterly meetings with sub-recipients, 4 meetings annually.
•Develop a training calendar to host every other month to best support sub-recipients.
•Complete monthly monitoring report to submit to the Senior Program Manager, Subrecipients.
V.Essential Job Requirements & Duties

•Monitors Education services across delegate agencies to ensure compliance with the Head Start Program Performance Standards.
•Assess program quality and make recommendations for program improvements to ensure compliance with funding requirements and quality programming for children.
•Represent Chicago Commons at applicable meetings and maintains a liaison with community, neighborhood institutions, and other relevant organizations.
•Completes site visits as required.
•Writes self-assessments, improvement plans, and waivers.
•Assists with grant writing.
•Provide training and technical assistance to partner agencies, as needed.
•Establish systems and create tools to help ensure accurate recording keeping and compliance.
•Monitors child database systems and provides support with producing quality observations, assigning educational objectives, to improve child outcomes and development standards.
•Promotes continuous quality improvement and quality assurance efforts for the agency.
•Monitor developmental screenings and ensure timely referrals.
•Provide oversight and support of coaching model and ensure implementation across partner agencies.
•Develop and disseminate information and resources related to early childhood to support teachers, classrooms, and program quality improvement efforts.
•Create tools and protocols that will assist partner agencies in carrying out duties, implementing changes, and remaining in compliance.
•Plans relevant trainings and meetings.
•Works collaboratively with staff and other agencies to meet the needs of children and families.
•Assess classroom equipment and materials regularly.
•Support site-based staff in completing annual self-assessments.
•Other duties as assigned.
