Our booming Burr Ridge, Doggie Daycare/Boarding/Grooming/Training facility is in need of a Handler and/or Bather.
Handlers must be able to watch over large groups of dogs in a daycare off-leash environment. Our dog groups are divided between small and large dogs, as well as temperaments. Handlers must be able know dog breeds and comprehend dog body language as well as observe when problems between dogs may occur, and keep them from happening in a safe, positive way.
A Split job between Handler and Bather is optional for anyone interested in learning another skill, and training will be offered. This is a nice option to learn both dog handler, and dog bather skills during the course of employment, and a great way to break up the days.
Duties of a Handler might include cleaning and maintaining floors of daycare and boarding area, as well as mopping, vacuuming and trash, as well as helping feed dogs.
This Job involves much satisfaction and enjoyment in working with dogs, as well as physical work of standing, bending and mopping. Handlers/Bathers must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to work holidays and weekends.
Starting salary $14-15/hr, 401K with a match, Profit Sharing and Health, Dental, Vision Benefits included, Employer pays half monthly premium.
