Responsibilities
The Nursing Assistant is responsible for assisting the professional nurses in the delivery of patient care. Under direction of the staff nurse, the nursing assistant may deliver routine personal care, perform simple routine procedures that are non-invasive and report any unusual findings to the charge nurse or care nurses.
The Nursing Assistant is expected to incorporate and demonstrate the message of Unity Family Healthcare’s stated philosophy and mission in daily performance of duties.
The nursing assistant serves in a multidisciplinary capacity providing general services to a wide variety of populations including pediatric, medical, surgical, ambulatory, orthopedic, geriatric, post-partum, and nursery areas.

Requirements
Successful completion of a nursing assistant training course is required
Current education on age specific assessment and interventions from neonate through geriatric
Preferred
Certification of Nursing Assistant License
High School Diploma
