As the General Manager, you have a wide range of management responsibilities, coupled with the day-to-day supervision of full-time and part-time personnel, which at times, may include duties of all hotel staff.

• Maintains confidentiality regarding the hotel, employees and guests.
• Provides effective leadership and supervision.
• Effectively recruits and retains employees.
• Effectively communicates expected standards.
• Effectively delegates duties and responsibilities to employees.
• Understands and uses the pay scale effectively, fairly, and consistently.
• Conducts effective performance reviews with subordinates.
• Sets high, but reasonable, performance goals with employees.
• Develops and maintains a work atmosphere that encourages cooperation and reduces conflict.
• Understands how to motivate employees to achieve high standards of hospitality and cleanliness of the hotel.
• Handles employees' concerns, and grievances, effectively and on a timely basis.
• Maintains effective self-development program.
• Responsible for effectively training staff with on-the-job training, policies and procedures.
• Sets appropriate objectives for hotel performance
• Develops accurate plans and forecasts for the hotel.
• Assists the Regional Manager in the development of a marketing plan.
• Develops appropriate staffing model for the efficient operation of the hotel.
• Understands the unique aspects of the hotel market area and its guests.
• Understands and implements safety, security, and preventative procedures relating to employees and guests.
• Works continually to upgrade the quality of the hotel.
• Understands and effectively uses all procedures related to maintaining quality of service.
• Identifies and solves quality problems quickly.
• Maintains quality during all levels of occupancy volume.
• Understands and reacts effectively to the needs and interests of guests.
• Effectively builds a positive image for the hotel in the community. * Actively participates in appropriate community service organizations.
• Understands profit and loss concepts at the hotel level.
• Adheres to Company policies and practices regarding cash management.
• Responds accurately and timely to information requests from headquarters staff.
• Reviews and corrects employee time cards on a timely basis.
• Exercises appropriate and effective control of inventory levels.
• Schedules staff in a manner that minimizes labor costs while providing the manpower needed to assure good guest service.
• Identifies business opportunities and threats in the market area.
• Effectively markets the hotel through various sales and marketing techniques and programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Hotel management: 2 years (Preferred)
• Hospitality: 3 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Cheyenne, WY 82001: Relocate before starting work (Required)
