Chestnut Health Systems is Hiring a Clinician (Adult SUD/Assessment) Near Bloomington, IL

Overview

Help individuals in the early stages of substance use and mental health treatment. Work with clients and their families to determine treatment needs and start them on the path of recovery. This full-time position is based in Bloomington, IL. Responsibilities

Complete assessments for substance use, mental health and/or domestic violence treatment needs and derive accurate diagnoses. Provide biopsychosocial reports to address placement criteria. Develop master treatment plans and continuing care plans. Admit and discharge clients. Provide individual, family, and group counseling and rehabilitation services to clients and their families. Facilitate skills and educational groups. Maintain contact with each client’s collaterals. Collaborate with client referral services and fulfill requirements of corresponding contracts. Represent Chestnut with customer service excellence. Demonstrate competency in using evidence-based approaches consistent with client centered, trauma informed, recovery oriented, strengths-based treatment.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements are a high school diploma, or equivalent, with five years supervised mental health or substance use experience; or a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field/helping profession; or a non-degreed but active Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) in good standing in the state of Illinois. Must have a valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance and being insurable. Requires basic computer skills including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, and an electronic medical record (EMR).
