Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to lift, support, handle or feel objects, tools, equipment and/or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk and hear. The employee is required to stand, walk and/or sit. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close and distance vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a public school. The noise level is moderate.
Working knowledge of the concepts, principles and methodologies of instruction. Working knowledge of academic curriculum for assigned classes. Demonstrated ability to develop instructional goals to design and deliver instruction and to assess students’ learning. Demonstrated ability to communicate with others effectively, both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability in decision making, problem analysis, conflict resolution, interpersonal relationships and planning.
Must hold or be eligible for a Virginia Teaching License with an endorsement in Marketing. Individuals seeking a new initial teaching license after July 1, 2014 must also hold an industry credential accepted by the Virginia Department of Education.
