Effective for the 4 summer program, vacancies for several Special Education Teacher positions exist within the Division of Student Services of the Chester County Intermediate Unit throughout the County.

These positions are for school age programs. Positions are temporary for the duration of the summer program only.

Schedule : (may vary slightly depending on program)

• 8 : AM - 2 : PM hours a day)
• Monday - Thursday

Qualifications :

Education and Experience

• Minimum of a bachelor-level degree in education, required
• Experience in teaching Multilingual Learners, preferred
• Current CCIU employee required

Professional or Other Required Certifications

• PDE ESL Program Specialist add-on certification, required
• Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required
• Original criminal history clearance, child abuse clearance and FBI fingerprint clearance (dated within the year), clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by CCIU upon hire)

Duties & Responsibilities :

The Multilingual Learner Program Specialist provides instructional services to Multilingual Learners. This position provides professional development activities regarding language acquisition and cultural awareness and provides support for content area teachers of Multilingual Learners.
