Chester County Intermediate Unit is Hiring a Full-time Practical Nursing Instructor- LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE Near Downingtown, PA
- Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing required.
- Must have a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania and have nursing experience involving direct patient care within the last two years required.
- Master's degree is required.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing with a MSN completion plan will be considered if no MSN candidates are available.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a nurse educator is preferred.
- Experience with simulation-based learning/virtual simulation is preferred.
- In addition, applicant shall give evidence of maintaining expertise in medical surgical, maternal child health and/or geriatric clinical area.
- Current, within one year, police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
- Applicants will be responsible for classroom, clinical and clinical simulation instruction and supervision of the students enrolled in the practical nursing program.
- Organizing and coordinating the Skills labs at TCHS Brandywine and TCHS Pickering campuses.
- Responsibilities may include day and evening assignments, inclusive of the summer months.
- Assists in formulating policies for the selection and promotion of students.
- Plans, develops and implements diverse teaching strategies aimed at facilitating achievement of student learning outcomes and overall program outcomes.
- Inst 1/Voc 1: $56,355 - $87,396
- Master's: $62,567 - $99,261
- Master's 15: $65,284 - $103,169
- placement on the scale is determined by previous similar experience
- Long Term Substitute needed from 8/19/2024- 11/1/2024. This position is temporary. An extension may be possible, but is not guaranteed. Please note that this position does not necessarily follow a typical school year calendar as our program runs year round.
- Based on student enrollment needs, the instructor may be assigned at the TCHS-Brandywine, TCHS-Pennock's Bridge, or TCHS-Pickering Campuses as needed.
