We are looking for a full-time Medical Biller and Coder for our office, Chesapeake Womens Care in Annapolis, Maryland. Working hours are Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm Monday - Thursday and from Friday 7 am to 3 pm but there is some flexibility.

• Identifies and assigns ICD-10 diagnostic codes and CPT-4 procedure codes to outpatient clinical visits, surgeries both in and outpatient, hospital visits, and deliveries.
• Review medical records, including patient histories, examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans, to extract pertinent information for code assignment.
• Utilizes coding references, software tools, and electronic health records (EHR) to facilitate accurate and efficient code assignment.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in code assignment to prevent claim denials, billing errors, and claim holds
• Assist with billing claim hold reports and following up on unpaid claims
• Answer calls about billing questions and concerns.
• Verify patient insurance
• Assist with medical collections as needed
• Other task assigned by manager

• No weekends of major holidays
