We are seeking a professional full-time Medical Assistant for our office, Chesapeake Women's Care in Annapolis, Maryland. The Medical Assistant is responsible for providing clinical support to the physicians in the office. This is a full-time position that includes a 4-day work week with 8 to 10-hour workdays. There is no set day off, it will rotate based on staffing needs.
Medical Assistant - MA Responsibilities:
- Prepares exam rooms in the clinical area for patient care daily, including stocking all necessary supplies
- Escorts patients to exam rooms, taking the required vital signs and obtaining urine specimens
- Assists physician with paps and minor in-office procedures
- Administer injections
- Adheres to and follows sterilization and disinfection practices throughout the facility
- Adheres to bio-hazardous waste policy and procedure for proper disposal of biomedical waste
- Coordinating laboratory services, and ordering labs, imaging and pathology reports
- Prefrontal Affirm testing
- Perform other office duties as assigned by manager
