The Medical Assistant demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served by their department. Additionally, the MA demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. Assists the MD/NP/PA in performing procedures. Operates, maintains and calibrates all equipment.
Job Responsibilities:The Medical Assistant is responsible for obtaining patient charts and encounter forms for all visits, accurately collecting and documenting basic patient assessments, assisting providers with exams and procedures and room stocking.
Job Requirements:- Must possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred experience as a Medical Assistant, EMT-Paramedic, or Military Medic
- Preferred Certification Requirements: Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred, CPR certification preferred
- Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
- May be required to travel to satellite offices
