SUPERVISOR : Parts Manager (Vehicle Maintenance)
SUMMARY : Maintains accurate fleet inventory balances and adequate stocking levels. The Vehicle Maintenance department of Cherry Creek maintains close to $1 million dollars in inventory. Responsible for vehicle parts and related purchase orders. Maintains accuracy of purchasing and inventory data in the Vehicle Maintenance software system. Data entry and research is a must in the position. Performs inventory cycle counts monthly. Supplies all vehicle maintenance technicians with accurate parts requisitioned by technician in a timely manner. Maintains strong working relationships with Foremen, Technicians, Co-Workers, and Parts Manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The following tasks describe the basic functions of the job and represent the type of work performed. Assists Vehicle Maintenance Technicians with acquiring vehicle parts needed for an inspection or repair in a timely manner. [Daily, 30%]
Maintains accurate and appropriate inventory levels. Performs cycle counts monthly. [Daily, 20%]
Issues and maintains purchase orders from Vehicle Maintenance software system. Data entry and researching usage is a high requirement for this position. Applies and tracks vendor warranties and credits. [Daily, 10%]
Ensures the best price is received for items not guaranteed by a contract or RFP with the district. [Daily, 5%]
Receives, sends, and stocks incoming parts. Maintains adequate stock levels on shelves (pulls overhead to stock on shelf). [Daily, 10%]
Ensures accurate entry of parts used by technician are bill to the appropriate vehicle and work order line. [Daily, 5%]
Assists Parts Manager with daily duties, special projects and performs duties in their absence. [Daily, 5%]
Processes paperwork according to all department and district policies and guidelines. [Daily, 5%]
Performs basic clerical duties including typing letters, emails, memorandums, reports, answering telephones, routing calls, distributing correspondence and other materials to department. [Daily, 5%]

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Retail parts sales, inventory, purchasing, or warehousing experience.
High school or equivalent
Copy equipment operations
Basic math (add/subtract/multiply/divide)
Communication skills
Compose correspondence
General computer knowledge.
General office equipment
Basic knowledge of MS Office
Data entry
Organizational skills
Typing proficiency of 40 WPM
Experience in 10 key operation
Multitasking a must.
Criminal background check and fingerprinting required for hire.

All certifications, licenses, and registrations must be valid and unexpired.
