Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
- Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Assist with legal administrative tasks as needed
Skills:
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence
- Excellent negotiation skills to advocate for clients' interests
- Proficient in using Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis for legal research
- Knowledge of legal research methods and techniques
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice
- Experience with legal drafting, including contracts and pleadings
- Litigation experience to effectively represent clients in court
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple cases and deadlines
- Attention to detail for accurate document preparation
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This position requires a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar. Prior experience as an associate attorney is preferred but not required.
