Chemco Products Company is Hiring an Account Manager Near Modesto, CA

JOB SUMMARY: This position will provide sales and technical support to the customer base within existing and new accounts. The focus will be on retaining business by managing sanitation and water treatment programs through troubleshooting and technical guidance. Technical expertise will be used to maintain and monitor correct chemical dosing and applications for specific processes, troubleshooting product or application problems, identifying correct resources required to diagnose and solve issues at customer accounts. The job requires the individual to recommend solutions to improve sanitation and operation procedures at our customer locations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet account performance objectives and customer expectations.
  • Establish and maintain a trusted advisor role to our client and owns the technical relationship.
  • Meet with clients regularly to review all ongoing business, technical projects, service issues, costs, and maintain & drive mutually agreed project plans (service visit frequency will be determined by the Territory Manager or as dictated by needs of client).
  • Maintains awareness of industry and regulatory directions and work with clients to implement required or necessary changes.
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet and exceed company standards.
  • Educates him/herself in all phases of the customer’s business.
  • Develops and maintains SSOP, Master Sanitation, SDS’, test procedures or any other company required documentation for our customers at the highest level possible.
  • Submit monthly reports, expense reports, and other paperwork as required to management accurately and within the timeframes specified.
  • Schedules and conducts technical service visits with clients and provides required reports, follow-up and technical support.
  • When asked will assist with the survey work, and development of all types of new business.
  • proactive with our clients to overcome issues before they become serious problems.
  • Be available to support the needs of our clients when necessary.
  • Have complete understanding of our products and services and be able to emphasize their key features and benefits.
  • Coordinates and completes all necessary customer training programs, i.e., GHS, “HazCom”, etc.
  • Understands and is able to troubleshoot and make minor repairs on different types of feed and control equipment.
  • Knowledge of and is able to run all chemical titration testing procedures on various types of systems.
  • Has the technical capabilities and expertise to manage medium to large accounts and when necessary, will ask management for help.
  • Works closely with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution.
  • Completes required training and development objectives within the assigned time frame.
  • Stays current on market trends and new technologies and communicates them to customers and team.
  • Prepares quotations, proposals, and new or updated contracts to existing clients.
  • Understands and follows all company policies.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks may be added on occasion to ensure our service and support is being maintained at the highest levels.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.
  • English grammar and writing skills - strong communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Understands the importance of follow-through.
  • Proactive when it comes to issues/challenges/opportunities.
  • Ability to work with diverse types of personalities, a dedicated team player.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a challenging environment but knows when to reach out for help/support.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or Equivalent, Bachelor’s Degree a plus
