Experienced Food Services Director
Develops, plans, coordinates and executes the food service activities of the residence, personally or through delegating duties to dietary staff. Provides overall direction and coordination of the department including direct supervision of dietary staff
Must have supervisory experience with 1-3 year related experience and culinary training; Serv Safe or food handlers certificate;
Ensures correct preparation and presentation of food; Plans engaging activities with the Lifestyles Department; Place food orders to ensure supplies within cost measures; Ensures adherence to menus; Directly supervises dietary staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, performance appraisals, rewarding and disciplining employees, training and providing continued in-service to staff; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Be flexible to schedules to accommodate the needs of the residents on an ongoing basis; Participates in ongoing process for quality improvement.
