At Chelsea Piers you will find colleagues who are passionate about what we do. Chelsea Piers Camps in Manhattan offer engaging and challenging sports summer camp programs for children aged preschool and up in our state-of-the-art athletic facilities.
Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire a Summer Camp Nurse to work from June 10 - August 30, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. The Summer Camp Nurse is vital to the success of our camps and are dedicated to providing campers with a clean, safe, friendly, and fun environment to ensure a well-rounded sports education and camp experience.
As a Summer Camp Nurse, you will be expected to:
- Care for sick or injured campers
- Provide first aid for minor injuries and illnesses
- Sort and dispense medications to campers
- Respond to any emergency that may arise
- Set up and stock the nurse's office
- Collect and organize all camper medical forms
- Maintain updated health logs and incident reports
- Ensure immunizations on file are up to date
- Always maintain communication with camps and directors
Qualifications
About You:
You are a registered nurse and are punctual, friendly, and motivated. You also:
- Enjoy working with children and in a team environment
- Have good verbal communication skills
- Have excellent customer service skills
- Have a neat and tidy appearance
- Have the ability to be flexible and remain calm and alert in stressful situations while remaining positive and energetic
