Chartwell Financial Advisory is Hiring a Corporate Finance Business Development Associate Near Minneapolis, MN

Role Description

Corporate Finance Business Development Associate

The focus of the business development associate position is to support the business development efforts of the corporate finance
practice area of the firm. The support efforts will be both in referral partner relationships and directed company contact. This position
reports directly to the group head of corporate finance and will work closely with others within corporate finance to implement
directed marketing strategies and tactics.

Essential Job Functions
Organizational Management:

  • Support efforts to manage and develop referral relationships
  • Support efforts to build new referral relationships:

o Assist in the creation of content to facilitate introductory meetings
o Track prospects, prepare initial introductory materials for prospects, and coordinate transition to execution team
o Complete necessary administrative tasks for new clients (ERP, business development, marketing collateral, engagement

agreements, confidentiality agreements, etc.)

  • Maintain and update project tracking report, prepare weekly project call reports
  • Potentially attend calls/meetings, record and publish meeting notes, follow up on action items
  • Prepare draft client presentations/proposals
  • Manage client project folder set up and data room
  • Maintain client data in database
  • Assist in creation of marketing materials; coordinate conference preparation including speaker proposals/presentations
and event/meeting planning

Administrative:

  • Calendar management as it relates to business development and marketing activities
  • Coordinate internal and external meetings or video/conference calls
  • Ad hoc tasks as necessary and requested

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience with the business development activities of clients and potential referral partners (CPAs, lawyers, etc.)
  • Prior experience in a client service organization (e.g., investment banking, wealth management, etc.)
  • Undergrad degree in marketing, finance, or accounting with a 3.5 GPA from a reputable institution
  • Professional personal presentation and service oriented
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet strict deadlines with little oversight
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt hours to periods of peak activity
  • Acute attention to detail and a dedication to providing high-quality work products
  • Willingness to work hard with a positive attitude
  • Experience in handling sensitive/confidential information
  • Strong project and time management skills
