Charter One is Hiring a Director of Teacher Effectiveness and Student Achievement Near Mesa, AZ

Charter One works with schools across the country to provide all-inclusive education management services. Charter One supports Boards of Directors in the efficient management of the school to help ensure that the vision and mission are met with full compliance to state laws, policies, and the charter agreement.

Charter One is currently accepting applications for a Director of Teacher Effectiveness and Student Achievement. This position would work out of our district office in Mesa, AZ. The Director of Teacher Effectiveness and Student Achievement is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and management of accountability and assessment programs across all C1 schools in multiple states. This role involves ensuring that C1 measures student and teacher performance, tracks progress towards educational goals, and complies with relevant state and federal regulations pertaining to assessment and accountability. NC, SC, AZ.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance an accountability framework aligned with C1's strategic goals and educational objectives.
  • Establish indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks to predict student achievement using effective teacher standards, C1 curriculum implementation, instructional best practices, and the C1 observation tool rubric.
  • Supervise the collection of data through the teacher observation tool, reporting to the CAO and President of Pk12 Operations.
  • Oversee the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to assess student and teacher performance while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality.
  • Design and implement assessment strategies to provide insights into student proficiency levels.
  • Analyze assessment data to identify areas of strength and improvement, tailoring instructional approaches to address specific student needs.
  • Develop targeted professional development programs for teachers to enhance their ability to impact student growth and proficiency.
  • Quantify instructional strategies that promote a direct impact on student growth and proficiency in the classroom.
  • Implement proactive systems for identifying students requiring additional support to achieve academic growth.
  • Develop and oversee intervention programs to provide targeted assistance to students falling below proficiency benchmarks.
  • Establish communication channels with parents focusing on student progress, growth, and proficiency,
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create resources and programs supporting students in reaching academic milestones.
  • Promote the integration of educational technologies supporting personalized learning experiences and contributing to student proficiency.
  • Provide training for educators on utilizing technology tools to assess and enhance student growth.
  • Lead initiatives focused on improving overall school performance with an emphasis on student growth and proficiency.
  • Collaborate with school leadership teams to develop improvement plans centered around measurable academic progress.
  • Stay informed about education policies and advocate for policies positively impacting student growth and proficiency.
  • Collaborate with district administrators and policymakers to influence educational initiatives prioritizing student achievement.
  • Develop and implement crisis response plans prioritizing maintaining and supporting continuous student progress.
  • Provide resources and support for students facing challenges to ensure ongoing academic growth.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Curriculum to strategically allocate resources, investing in programs directly contributing to student growth and proficiency.
  • Collaborate with educational leaders to share best practices and coordinate efforts contributing to collective student success.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration among educators to collectively contribute to student growth.
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards prioritizing the academic welfare and growth of students.
  • Ensure compliance with education policies, particularly those supporting and enhancing student growth and proficiency.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, business, or related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years in education
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance card
