Charlotte Independence Soccer Club is Hiring a Recreation Director (Location) - Huntersville - Part-Time Near Cornelius, NC

The Recreation Director – Huntersville will be the lead contact for Huntersville Recreation Members and volunteer Recreation Coaches. We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills in assisting and answering questions for members about the Recreation program and the club. They will help with email/phone/registration requests and be on the field during the week and weekends to ensure a quality environment for our Recreation program. We are looking for people who are eager to learn, have a lot of energy and can bring excellent customer service skills, administration skills, and are strong in their use of current and new technologies.

Description

This position, administratively, can be completed remotely but will have occasional duties in person. This position will be required to be on the field at our recreation locations, with a focus on our Huntersville location. The hours range from 8-30 hours a week, depending on the part of the season we are in. In season we average about 18 hours a week. We are looking for someone who is available to complete administration tasks during the work week and in season is available 2 nights a week on the fields and available to be on the fields Friday nights and Saturday mornings during the season. The season will run from the end of February through the second week in May.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

Answering all inbound phone calls including answering live calls and handling all voicemails
Manage recreation emails/form fills
Guide members in understanding PlayMetrics (registration system) navigation to assist with members' questions
Manage PlayMetrics registration platform for member registration
Ad hoc reporting, at the request of the Director of Recreation
Assist in special recreation and bridge events during the year
On the field M-Th during the first two weeks of the Recreation season, 2/26-3/8
On the field for 2-4 hours weekly, during the season, as a liaison and technical coach for recreation teams
On the field for 4-8 hours on weekends, during the season, managing the game day environment

Requirements

High attention to detail with a strength in time-management and organization skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to learn and master new software Programs
Proficiency in soccer education/coaching is highly preferred
Background in youth sports coaching or administration is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working on a team as well as independently
High School Diploma
Proven experience in customer service role
Available to work nights and evenings
Available to work weekends
Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus, although not a requirement
Flexible and open to change
Must have authorization to work in the U.S
