charlestonwoodland is Hiring a BUSINESS OFFICE MANAGER Experience in SNF Near Waco, TX

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Administrator, the Business Office Manager manages all accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, patient trust funds, and other assigned duties. He/she ensures that the financial system is accurate, efficient, and in accordance with professional accounting practices and government regulations.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

  1. Perform or supervise the collection of accounts receivable, the input of billing information, and the billing of Medicaid and Medicare; collect accounts payable invoices and process them for payment, calculate time on time cards, collect time worked information, and process payroll, assist in the general orientation of new employees including the initiation of personnel and health records; maintain personnel and Employee Injury Benefit files; handle disbursements and collection of personal trust funds and reconcile bank statements; perform duties as a member of the Ql team, and other duties as assigned by the Administrator.
  2. Assist the Administrator by providing administrative and clerical support; answer telephones, take and distribute messages; obtain and type admission data form the patient's family, process mail and ensure that the office and office machines are maintained in a clean and safe manner.
  3. Maintain resident confidentiality, treat residents with dignity, kindness and respect; know and comply with Residents' Rights rules.
  4. Assist in preparing departmental budgets.
  5. All other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Completion of secondary education or otherwise able to read, write in English and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  2. Must be able to relate positively to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other employees.
  3. Must meet all local health regulations and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.
  4. Must have related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
  5. Must have knowledge of office machines and equipment and must be able to type at least 45 words per minute and use 10-key calculator.
  6. Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance and performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  7. Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devises): Walking, reaching, sitting, grasping, bending, lifting, pushing, fine hand coordination, ability to read and write in English, ability to perform mathematical functions, ability to communicate with residents, families, employees and support agencies, ability to evaluate and interpret financial information and make independent decisions, and ability to remain calm under stress.
