Ross Mixing Inc is a part of a 180-year-old company and world leading manufacturer of processing equipment used by companies all over the world for the manufacturing of paints, inks, chemicals, foods and pharmaceuticals.
We are adding a Mechanical Design Engineer to our team for our Port St Lucie FL location. In this position, you will design process equipment for the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Process Industries. We are searching for individuals who are looking for stable and possible long-term employment. We operate a single shift, M-F.
This position will be responsible for:
- Designing power transmission equipment and metal fabrication.
- Selecting proper bearings, seals, gears, pulleys and other power transmission items for the particular application as it applies to mixers.
- Ability to develop machine specifications and quotes from customer information, RFQs and customer specifications.
- Using ASME code (not mandatory) as it applies to pressure vessel design.
- Familiarity with different types of steels and alloy metals and metal fabrication.
- Organizational skills as it may relate to the design and processing of concurrent multiple jobs for different customers.
- Work with customers on different projects at the same time.
Education/ experience:
- Experience with Hydraulic cylinders, valves, electric motors, power transmission, sealing systems and general electrical control circuits.
- Experience with Pneumatic cylinders, valves and hydraulic and pneumatic control circuits.
- Experience with fabrication (bending, rolling, forming, HD plasma), machining and all types of welding (stick, MIG, TIG, and submerged arc) of steels and stainless-steel.
- Experienced AutoCAD (2D) and Inventor (3D), latest versions in use.
