Job Description

POSITPOSITION SUMMARY

The Primary Care Physician (PCP) will deliver primary medical care to a wide variety of patients. The Physician will be responsible for caring for patients, maintaining accurate and current patient records, and scheduling and administering follow-up appointments to patients as required. The PCP will work as part of a care team alongside our clinical support staff and other providers and will assist in delivering premium care to every patient we serve.

POSITION-SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide diagnostic and treatment medical service to patients according to local, state and federal standards of care
  • Accurately chart and document patient visits in a timely manner using the electronic health record
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve clinical and operational processes
  • Deliver quality care while maintaining all company metrics pertaining to productivity
  • Participate in equitable after-hours and weekend coverage as directed by Chief Medical Officer
  • Counsel patients about health and illness and discuss preventative health measures
  • Refer to other health care providers as necessary
  • Attend internal meetings as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Education: Medical degree from accredited medical school and completion of residency program
  • Language: English fluency
  • License: State of Nebraska medical license, Federal DEA License required
  • Certification: Board certified or Board-eligible and working towards certification, BLS/CPR Certification
  • Work Hours: 40 hour work week
  • Travel: Local
  • Exposure: The exposure characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. For example, while performing the essential functions of this job, the employee seldom is exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. Additionally, the employee may occasionally be exposed to blood borne and other hazardous chemicals. Finally, the noise level in the work environment can seldom be quite loud. In all cases personal protective equipment will be provided to the employee in combination with adequate ventilation and other engineering controls to minimize the risk of exposure or other hazardous occurrence
