Charles City Community School District is Hiring a Superintendent Near Charles, IA

The Board of Education of the Charles City Community School District, Charles City, Iowa,is seeking a highly qualified, fully certified, educational leader to serve as Superintendent ofSchools. The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of theposition, July 1, 2024.

McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development, has been engaged asthe consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the Board of Education inidentifying and screening the candidates.

Enrollment: 1,541 students

Location: 50 miles northwest of Waterloo, Iowa

The Qualifications:
The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence ineducational leadership. The Board recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of the mostimportant decisions it will make. The Board developed the following desired characteristics.? Commitment - to the position, the district, and the community demonstrated byunwavering dedication to fulfilling their responsibilities, supporting the educationalmission and goals of the district, actively engaging with and serving the needs ofcommunity stakeholders, and recognizing that it takes a multi-year commitment tosuccessfully do this work.? Communication - demonstratedby the effective exchange of information, ideas, and feedback through various channels,facilitating collaboration, understanding, and alignment among stakeholders to supportthe educational mission and goals of the district.? Transparency - demonstrated by consistently providing accessible and comprehensiveinformation about decisions, processes, and actions taken within the school district,fostering trust, accountability, and inclusivity among all stakeholders.? Accountability - demonstrated by taking ownership of decisions and actions, beingtransparent about results, and consistently meeting established expectations to ensure theeffective stewardship of resources and the achievement of the district's objectives.? Collaborative Communicator - demonstrated by actively engaging with diversestakeholders, fostering inclusive decision-making processes, and leveraging collectiveexpertise to drive the district's goals and initiatives forward.?
