Full-Time Care Team Associate - Pediatrics - QueensReports to: Director of Operations, Pediatrics137-43 45th AvenueFlushing, New York, 11355United StatesThe Care Team Associate is a trained medical office assistant who will be assigned to either a medical assisting or patient services representative role, based on the needs of the clinical unit.Responsibilities :Registration competenciesComplete all aspects of registration, including insurance verification and sliding fee scaleHandle phone calls appropriatelyMonitor patient flow and address wait time or other concernsAssess and assist with patient needs including questions regarding insurance, scheduling, and referralCollaborate with other care team members to address patient needsMedical assisting competenciesPerform c linical tasks such as taking vitals, phlebotomy, EKG, Point-of-Care, CLIA-waived procedures, other routine procedures and tasks as assignedConduct screening using standardized tools, interview patients, take history, and chart documentationOffer preventive screening services and provide patient health educationDisinfection and tidiness of clinical area and medical equipmentConduct pre-visit planning, manage provider panel and support smooth patient flowAssist with inventory managementAssist provider with office proceduresPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications :Bilingual in English/SpanishAssociates Degree, equivalent college credits, or 2 years of work experienceWork experience in the health care field preferredMedical Assistant Certification preferredBasic CPR (BCLS) Certification required (Health Center will provide if needed)Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary teamMaintain a cooperative relationship with co-workersRespond promptly to requestsAdapt to changes in practice operations and workflows as they emergeApproach work with a good attitude and flexGood problem solving skillsCompensation and Benefits :Salary: $50,000.00 - 52,000.00 per yearMedical insuranceEmployer-paid dental, vision, disability and life insurance403(b) retirement savings planFlexible spending accounts for transit, parking, health and dependent carePaid time off (28 days for the first year of employment)Employee Assistance ProgramTuition reimbursement for eligible employees, andThe Health Center is qualified for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program
