Our Position

The Collections & Billing Manager will oversee and manage the collections and billing process.

Your Responsibilities

  • Managing and coordinating customer service team member responses.
  • Overseeing the collections process including reducing accounts receivables (A/R), meeting company goals and objectives for A/R, and reducing aging of outstanding debt. 
  • Managing the billing operations process including resolving outstanding billing issues from customers, setting up the billing schedule for customers, and identifying and implementing opportunities and resolutions for a seamless billing process. 
  • Developing key metrics and managing daily team member productivity.
  • Receiving escalation calls from billing and collection specialists to take necessary steps to resolve problems.
  • Escalating complaints of service failures to designated branches for further investigations.
  • Developing and communicating weekly and month end reports. Communicating results and providing feedback to the team.
  • Creating an on-going action plan for process improvements that focus on departmental efficiencies and opportunities through enhanced technology.
  • Performing monthly quality audits, monthly team member evaluation. Listening to calls to evaluate service levels.
  • Ensuring customers are retained, satisfied, and that their needs are fulfilled from a customer service perspective.
  • Identifying trends and communicating results to Operations. Developing turnaround time statistics for placing orders and conducting outbound calls.
  • Creating an escalation process for our external and internal customers.
  • Developing and mentoring team members through on-boarding, open communication, training and development opportunities and performance management processes; building and maintaining employee morale and motivation.
  • Ensuring the team is educated in all current policies and procedures.
  • Creating direct communication with branch locations and leadership to improve customer experience.
  • Working closely with VP-level or higher leadership.
  • Complying with all state, local, and national call compliance guidelines as well an established company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Our Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of collections and billing management experience.
  • Previous experience managing people, including hiring, developing, and coaching employees.
  • Experience with CRM software systems.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook required.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Self-motivated, quick learner, resourceful.
  • Ability to calculate basic math.
  • Must be able to pass a seven-year criminal background check.
