Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to cook and serve food in a daycare setting. You will be responsible for cooking a simple, set menu each week. sticking to the specific menu is crucial. Your day will consist of opening the kitchen and preparing the specified lunch for that day. Then you will walk the completed food over to the different classes and serve the food. Next you will then take the tray and food serving equipment back to the kitchen and clean up the mess from cooking lunch.( During the summer you will also need to serve lunch in the lunch room for the older afterschool children.) You will then make snack bags for all of the children. You will then finish cleaning up (i.e. sweep, mop, wipe down surfaces, keep fridge clean, straiten up the shelves, put dishes away in their place) and your duties for the day will be done. You will be required to keep a tidy space and follow specific serving size guidelines as well up holding state guidelines for personal cleanliness and food handling. You must be able to pass a back ground check in order to apply for this job.

We are looking for someone who can work consistent weekly hours for our daycare center to run smoothly.

20 hours a week during the school year and 25 hours a week during the summer time to accommodate for the extra children.

Hiring immediately, training start date is May 6th

Duties:
- Prepare and serve meals following specified recipes and portion sizes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas
- Assist in food preparation, including cutting vegetables, cooking, and baking
- Manage time effectively to ensure meals are ready on schedule

Skills:
- Culinary knowledge for food preparation and presentation
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and procedures
- Good time management skills to ensure timely meal service

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
