Position:

The Inventory Planning and Demand Analyst is responsible for ensuring that the production of apparel & equipment is efficient and the right quantity to meet the demands of Champro and its customers. This position involves administration and management of Champro’s inventory while coordinating internal, as well as, external sources of supply.

Your Role:

As a Inventory Planning and Demand Analyst, you will address the inventory requirements of the company through the analysis of historical sales data to forecast product needs to support growing demand. This includes the in-depth analysis of inventory need and analyzing manufacturing procedures that make up the production process to determine bottlenecks; and generating production orders for finished products to meet these demands. You will also coordinate with the production facilities the needed capacity requirements and work with the factories meeting the delivery schedules as agreed upon. The successful individual will assess the capacity and the requirements reporting any identified issues, along with, suggested solutions to product management and their direct supervisors.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize demand planning tools [and software to review historical sales data to forecast monthly inventory requirements at the SKU level
  • Collaborate with Product Lifecycle Management to determine new line-item forecasts.
  • Seek consensus and approval from internal stakeholders for proposed inventory levels to achieve the company’s best inventory position.
  • Generate production purchase orders and schedules to match calculated product demand.
  • Provide vendor assistance to ensure all operations meet the excepted shipping dates according to inventory forecasts and customer demand.
  • Monitor and communicate vendor performance of production and shipping schedules providing assistance where necessary to ensure on time delivery of product to support demand.
  • Expedite and coordinate the manufacturing, delivery, and shipment of critical product
  • Coordinate the production of any customer Special Make Ups that are required
  • Collaborate with Transportation Operations Manager to coordinate the delivery of inventory from production facilities to both domestic and foreign distribution centers
  • Communicate regular inventory updates with Product Lifecycle Management and other internal stakeholders to address any changes in supply chain in order to solve any inventory shortage scenarios that may occur.

Requirements:

  • You have knowledge of fundamental Forecasting and Inventory Management principles
  • You possess technical skills including intermediate Excel
  • You are analytical, process driven approach to problem solving
  • You have the ability to work in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and varying levels of ambiguity
  • You are a self-starter and ability to take ownership of the position
  • You’re detail oriented (on time and accurate)
  • You possess an Associate Degree or 5 years’ experience in an inventory analyst position
