Requirements:

• A dedication to nurturing and encouraging the children in your care
• A desire to partner with parents in their child's education
• A willingness to build a positive team environment
• 90 clock hours or the equivalent of approved school-age coursework (45 hours child development and 45 hours curriculum planning)
• 400 hours or experience working under supervision with school-agers in a child care center, public or private school, or in a rec. and parks program or similar setting

• Monday to Friday

Application Question(s):

• Monday through Friday, our Champions programs operate a split shift schedule (before and after school).

The total hours for this position would be 32 hours a week; this includes working in-ratio with kids and staff and out-of-ratio hours for lesson planning.

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• School Aged Childcare: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• 6 semester/90 clock hours approved school-age coursework (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Upper Marlboro, MD (Required)

Work Location: In person
