Used Car Technician Responsibilities
- Perform Used car Inspections to get vehicles ready to put on front lot for sale.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
- Communicate directly with the Shop Foreman and Used Car Manager to inform them of any needed repairs and provide them an estimate of cost of additional repairs needed.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
Used Car Technician Qualifications
- 2 years experience in automotive service repair required
- Strong automotive background in all areas
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willing to submit to a drug screen & background check
- Must have clean & valid driver's license
