We are seeing a Financial Controller who will oversee the financial control & reporting of our Dalton,
GA-based turf manufacturing operations. The Financial Controller will be responsible for preparing
consolidated internal and external financial statements and analyzing financial information to aid in
strategic decision making. The ideal candidate will have a passion for translating complex manufacturing
operations into easy to analyze financial results, and have a strong background in finance and
accounting.

Position:

Financial Controller: The Financial Controller will play a key role in all accounting functions, including
monthly close, financial statement production and reconciliation. The Financial Controller will interact
with multiple departments to understand & explain the financial results and provide insight to our global
Management on performance drivers.
Duties & Responsibilities (not meant to be all-inclusive):
1. Prepares internal and external financial statements by gathering and analyzing information, and
processing journal entries consistent with our Accounting Handbook.
2. Manages month-end close process and consolidates monthly financial results into the Business
Intelligence platform (COGNOS).
3. Works with other plant controllers to ensure accuracy of intercompany balances.
4. Collaborates with our broader finance organization, including our Netherlands based HQ team,
on business performance reviews.
5. Manages direct finance employees of the tufting manufacturing operations, including
accounting manager, AP, and AR administrators.
6. Prepares internal reporting documents analyzing revenue, margins, and variances to
budgets/forecasts. Works closely with plant leadership to maintain KPIs and other actionable
data that would support strategic initiatives and cost saving opportunities.
7. Maintain positive cash flow by managing all AP, AR, and other expenses while preparing cash
forecasts for Manufacturing Division Controller.
8. Lead in the annual budget process at the plant by interacting cross functionally to create buy-in
of the budget across all stakeholders.
9. Recommend and implement procedures to improve financial reporting, systems and to make
the analysis of information easier and more concise.
10. Answers accounting and financial questions and provides support on ad hoc projects by
researching and interpreting data
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s decree in accounting or finance with 5-7 years of accounting or financial reporting
experience.
2. Manufacturing specific accounting experience is a plus (e.g., standard costing, activity-based
costing).
3. Data-driven mindset to interpret, analyze and synthesize financial data into actionable
recommendations.
4. Energetic self-starter with ability to work independently as well as part of diverse, cross functional,
and global teams.
5. Ability to troubleshoot issues, find root causes and initiate corrective actions; execute with a
sense of urgency.
6. High degree of integrity with ability to handle confidential information.
7. Microsoft Dynamics NAV experience preferred; IBM Cognos experience is a plus.
8. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) .
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and comfortable interacting with all levels of
the organization.

  • This is an on-site role. Ability to work remote on a regular basis is possible, however, regular and
predictable attendance in-office is required.
