Role: Corporate Controller
Location: East Coast, Remote
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer

Opportunity for Impact
The Corporate Controller is a key financial position within the company, responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, compliance, and internal control. They provide strategic financial leadership, ensuring accurate and timely financial information for decision-making purposes.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to support the company's operational needs
  • Run and optimize accounting operations and processes, such as the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements and reports
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to senior management and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit and tax work
  • Develop and manage the company's annual budgeting process
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
  • Monitor and analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast
  • Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls
  • Ensure financial & tax regulation compliance, including implementing consistent accounting procedures, preparing tax fillings, staying current on legal requirements
  • Streamline processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic initiatives and business growth
  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and support in their professional development. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department
Professional Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in a revenue mix of professional services and software, and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in accounting, treasury management, and financial budgeting
  • Experience with accounting/financial systems, tools, and software e.g. NetSuite, Expensify, SPIFF, Salesforce, Precursive
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • CPA certification preferred
