Who We Want:

The Corporate Controller position will support the Executive Director of Accounting in leading the accounting and treasury management of the Company, to include production of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, maintenance of an adequate system of financial records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate corporate risk, as well as improve the Company's financial communications.

What You'll Do:

• Manage, develop, and mentor Accounting Team and related processes to create a collaborative environment
• Lead and direct the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements along with related period end analysis for both internal and external stakeholders
• Execute and participate in the monthly team closing schedule including preparation and review of journal entries
• Facilitate and actively engage in recurring projects such as the annual financial statement audit and company tax return preparation including interactions with external consultants and preparation and review of internal workpapers
• Review monthly submission of Company's borrowing base certificate
• Coordinate and participate in the preparation of management and board reports
• Manage federal, state, and local tax filings, including property taxes, sales tax and other local taxes and licenses
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting principles
• Assist in company budget and forecasting processes
• Support the company's key monitoring of customer and supplier risk
• Assist with other projects and Ad Hoc Reporting as needed

When and Where:

This will be a 830AM-5PM M-F position located at our Corporate Office in Walker, MI.

What You Need to Have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 5 years of intensive accounting experience including management of team
• Public and private accounting experience
• CPA license is preferred
• Automotive experience is a plus
• Has high standards of performance for self
