Position Profile
The Accounting Manager supports the growth of our business by maintainingaccurate financial data and providing accounting expertise as a critical member of the Accounting & Finance team. This position facilitates efficient and effective financial practices and plays a key role in driving strategy for Accounting & Finance at Chalice.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Drivethe accounting team to maintainaccurate and insightful accounting data
Overseethe monthly, quarterly and annual close processesin conjunction with the Assistant Controller
Monitor and managethe Accounts Receivable process and supervise/mentor staff accountants
Manage competing priorities and assign tasks to team members, while maintaining completeness and accuracy of the general ledger
Preparation and review of month end close multi-entity intercompany reconciliations
Responsible for inventory cost accounting related activities including month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, standard cost setting, inventory management, and related overhead absorptions
Perform analysis of the general ledger to ensure the accuracy of transactions
Assist with financial statement audits and reviews
Coordinate with external vendors for the preparation of taxfilings
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting supervisory function
Strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to apply to a nascent industry
Ability to partner effectively and communicate respectfully across all lines of business
Works quickly and effectively with a focus on accuracy
Experience with inventory costing and intercompany accounting a plus
Experience with Acumatica ERP a plus
Experience with IFRS a plus
Must be eligible to obtain an OLCC Marijuana Workers Permit
