Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for implementation and oversight of all health and psychiatric services to children and youth served by Chaddock.
• Act as health services liaison between Chaddock and health care providers both locally and nationally as directed by supervisor.
• Act as health services liaison and oversee health services coordination with the parents/guardians of clients served at Chaddock.
• Responsible for implementation and oversight of medication management policies, procedures and practices for Chaddock.
• Implement and oversee health services for both clients and staff relative to licensing, accreditation and Chaddock policy and procedure, ensuring agency compliance with those standards.
• Participate in nurse on call rotation.
• Complete documentation of health services that is compliant with the Nurse Practice Act, licensing, accreditation and Chaddock policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate a working knowledge of trauma, attachment and child development needs for children and youth.
• Ensure accountability to agency and external time lines and quality of health services.
• Chaddock reserves the right to revise or change job duties and responsibilities from particular jobs and to assign other duties as necessary.

Chaddock is are accepting application for full time and per diem Registered Nurses to join our medical team with various shifts available including days, evening and weekends. There will be on call responsibilities. Salary will be adjusted based on experience.
Provide professional nursing care to clients and staff under the direct supervision of the psychiatric and medical providers in the clinic setting to carry out any duties delegated by the provider which does not exceed the scope of their practice and licensure by the State.
Scope: Residential and Foster and Adoption clients; and community students in the campus, school, clinic, and home setting in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental/emotional age of the person served.

Education/Experience

• Licensed as a registered nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois.
• One year experience working with adolescents or in a psychiatric setting preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Must be 21 years or older
• Possess a valid Driver’s License, qualifying for approval as a Child Care Facility Driver from DCFS
• Be an American citizen or have a valid work permit
• Pass a drug screen, medical examination and tuberculosis (TB) test
• Pass a criminal background check
