Forecasting Analyst, Clinical Trial Payments

The Forecasting Analyst is responsible for becoming the subject matter expert for IQVIA’s Clinical Trial Payment department’s forecasting service and for driving the quality of forecast for the assigned studies. Duties include preparing, delivering and analyzing the forecast report and becoming the interface for the CTP Client service Leads and RDS Project team members. Duties also include responding to inquiries from internal and external sources regarding the forecast report, adjusting the assumptions as needed, and validating the forecast report data against actual data to ensure maximum accuracy and client satisfaction. Additionally, the Forecast analysts carry the QA responsibility for the Forecasting application developments and enhancements.

• CTP, TDSE and/or IQVIA Experience
• Excel Macro expertise
• Understanding of BI & Reporting (functional, systems); hands-on experience w BI Tool (preferably Spot Fire)
• Experience in (or understanding of or Interest in) Product / Service Management function
• Experience in (or understanding of or Interest in) Financial: Analysis, Budgeting, Forecasting, Reporting
• Willingness to learn client-facing Forecast analyst role (needed for Forecasting COE Business Analysis)
• Capable of logical, lateral, and multi-functional thinking
• Passion for success, persistence in face of obvious obstacles
• SQL Query experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Essential Functions:

• Build models for analysis and validation of overall forecasting application outcome versus actual and conduct or drive analysis and make improvement recommendations
• Complete qualitative and quantitative analysis, as required, to identify root causes in the application, and analysis to track effectiveness of improvements. The role includes data analysis and system testing
• Analyze & validate forecasting report output against actual data and make updates as needed
• Lead and drive the User Acceptance (and at times QA) testing for the Forecasting Application developments and enhancements
• Create test scenarios for applications and enhancements, ensuring functional requirements are met
• Analyze and consolidate financial information to develop solutions to extract business requirements
• Carry a partial FA load (more when volume requires). This includes: build and develop baseline assumptions used in the forecast; Communicate with stakeholders; ensure their forecasting requirements are met, produce and distribute the forecast report; answer and support end-user questions and needs
• Assist the COE in Knowledge Management, especially in the direct responsibility areas
• Support the continued effort in updating IQVIA’s Clinical Trial Payment’s forecast enhancements
• Create, run, and analyze ad hoc reports as needed; Support the operations improvement initiatives as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelors in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or Computer Science
• 2-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical clinical trial, financial, or IT roles/industries
• 2 years in data analysis working with a development teams
• 2 years hands-on experience in an SQL Server database querying
• Understanding and knowledge of T-SQL querying in SSMS
• Preferred Experiences: BI reporting (PowerBI/Spotfire/etc.), working with Jira, Systems analysis, Applications testing, and/or Financial Analysis
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Outlook)
• High level of commitment and ownership
• Some ability to understand business analysis including functional and technical requirements, and ability to turn these into test scripts
• Problem solving and analytical skills; ability to breakdown complex problems
• Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively
• Ability to present to a moderate size group, effective communication, and influence skills
• Detail-oriented without losing sight of the big picture
• Proactive, result oriented, can-do attitude

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $64,300.00 - $96,400.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
