Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect, interpret and analyze data from multiple sources and systems using statistical techniques
- Evaluate data quality and employ analytics tools to clean, process, and convert large volumes of data into formats that can be leveraged by senior leaders
- Analyze data to identify trends & areas for improvement to optimize operational efficiency
- Clean and manipulate raw data from our carriers and brokers for inbound freight costs analysis to save inbound costs
- Use Python and Excel to write complex functions for calculations and data analysis
- Transform complex data and findings into charts, graphs, dashboards, and reports using Excel, SQL, SPSS and Tableau
- Evaluate & determine appropriate methods for data analysis
- Create recommendations to assist management in making effective data-driven decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Data Analytics or a closely related field plus 2 years experience as Data Analyst. In lieu of 2 years experience, will accept a Master’s degree in the same fields.
- Must be familiar with using Excel, SQL, SPSS, Python and Tableau through experience, internships or coursework.
