High Tech Machine Operator
CFL USA, LLC is currently seeking candidates to join our rapidly expanding team. We seek to hire a High Tech Machine Operator in our new manufacturing facility located in Adairsville, Georgia. The operator must have technical skills and needs to be a person who takes care of the machine and the product and who listens to the noises and can spot abnormalities, etc.. If you have a strong background in manufacturing processes, and if you possess a passion to continuously improve, we want to hear from you. Duties/ResponsibilitiesBefore machine start up:
Learn the UV application and curing process and get trained on our UV line
Follow and support the machinery supplier during the installation of the machine
Travel to Germany for a 3-week training on printing and UV technology
Start up the machine and ramp-up production
After machine start up:
Perform daily checklists to ensure productivity, quality and machine availability
Perform regular quality checks to make sure the quality is within standard
Communicate quality or compliance concerns with urgency
Ensure product compliance to company standards and specifications
Adjust the necessary mechanisms to correct production issues
Replace or fix machine components and report in case of major failures
Communicate and cooperate with maintenance to keep the machine running longer and improve the lifespan of the wear parts
Record machine downtime and help to collect production data
Control available raw material on the line and work closely with planning team to ensure the materials align with the schedule and have a continuous run
Perform position duties in the safest, most efficient manner
Required Skills/Abilities:
Availability to travel to Europe for 1 week for training
Willing to learn a new process and develop skills of coating application and printing
The candidate needs to understand the technical side of the machine and be able to identify abnormal noises and behaviors.
Must be able to demonstrate basic math skills
Responsible, organized, communicative and team player
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to demonstrate.
Must be able to clearly communicate in verbal and written communication with teammates and supervision.
Photoshop skills are a plus
Education and Experience:
Prefer at least 2 years of experience in an LVT manufacturing role. Prefer previous work with highly automated equipment on a continuous line such as extrusion, profiling/finishing and high technician machine operator in luxury vinyl flooring.
Must have at least a GED or high school diploma.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
Must be willing and able to work in an LVT manufacturing environment.
Must be able to work 12 hour, rotating shifts
Must be able to navigate the manufacturing environment within the Extrusion, Profiling and UV department (automated, continuous line)
